Crostini with Romano Cheese, Honey and Orange Zest
Nicely complemented by a glass of Chardonnay

Ingredients

(1/2 loaf) baguette, cut into 1/2-inch thick slices horizontally

tablespoon |
olive oil
|
|
|
| 1/4 |
pound |
grated Romano cheese or Parmesan cheese
|
|
|
| 2 |
tablespoons |
honey
|
|
|
|
|
Zest of one orange
|
|
|
|
|
Fresh ground pepper
|
|
|
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Brush one side of each slice of bread with a small amount of the olive oil. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake until crisp, about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle cheese over each piece of bread. Drizzle honey over the cheese. Top with orange zest and sprinkle with the pepper.
